Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Contasimple is a Spanish cloud application for invoicing, bookkeeping and tax filing, built mainly for autónomos and very small companies. It covers the Spanish tax workflow: users can prepare and file VAT and IRPF returns such as Modelo 303, 130, 111, 115, 180, 347, 349, 390 and 100. Its invoicing is ready for VeriFactu, and Profesional and higher plans add FACe e-invoicing for public-sector customers. Other features include collections and payments tracking, SEPA bank remittances, bank aggregation and reconciliation, a mobile app, and a section that lets a gestoría or advisory firm connect to a client's account. Add-ons cover OCR invoice capture, bank connection, a point-of-sale (TPV) module and stock control. There are three plans, priced in euros before VAT. Básico is free forever but capped at 12 documents a year, 5 products, and 10 clients and 10 suppliers. Profesional costs 12.95 euros a month, or 10.95 with annual billing, and allows 500 documents a year. Ultimate costs 19.95 euros a month, or 15.95 annually, with no document limit and 1 GB of storage. Each plan includes one user, and extra users cost more. The vendor says it has more than 80,000 users. It now belongs to the Shine group, linked to Cegid after Primavera bought Contasimple in 2021. The main drawbacks are its focus on Spain alone and the lack of payroll and deeper ERP features. Reviewers also complain about slow support and an interface that looks dated.
