Overview
ADDISON is a suite of accounting and tax software from Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting Deutschland. It comes in two main editions. ADDISON Mittelstand is for in-house finance teams at mid-sized German companies. ADDISON Kanzlei and the Komplettlösung for bookkeepers serve tax advisory and payroll offices. The modules cover financial accounting with AP and AR, cost and performance accounting with cost centers, fixed asset accounting, payroll including construction wages, annual financial statements and trade tax, document management, and treasury functions such as SEPA payments and dunning. It connects to banks through PSD2 and EBICS and matches bank transactions to open items. It reads ZUGFeRD and XRechnung e-invoices and files E-Bilanz returns with the tax office through ELSTER. A client portal handles document exchange with clients; it was branded OneClick and newer sources call it ADDISON Direkt. You can run the software on your own servers or in the ADDISON Business Cloud. Wolters Kluwer does not publish prices. Licenses are quoted by the vendor, maintenance and the hotline are included, and training is billed separately. Integrations include DATEV-format exchange, DocuWare, HR tools such as Personio, HR WORKS and clockodo, and spend tools such as Pleo. The main limitation is how German-focused it is. Its interfaces, compliance features and support are built around German tax law. It has no publicly documented REST API, and some connectors need separate licenses, so international or API-first teams may find it rigid.
