Overview
Abby is a web and mobile app from a Nancy-based startup. It handles the paperwork French sole traders face: quotes and invoices, mandatory electronic invoicing, the income and purchase ledgers, Urssaf contribution estimates and filings, and VAT threshold alerts. The DGFiP registered Abby as an approved e-invoicing platform (plateforme agréée) in January 2026, which matters ahead of France's e-invoicing reform. It also accepts EI, SASU, EURL and SARL structures, but it is built mainly around the micro-entreprise regime. There are four plans, priced excluding VAT. Basique is free with unlimited quotes and invoices. Start costs 9 euros a month and adds card payments and Urssaf filing. Pro costs 15 euros a month and adds payment reminders, e-signatures, one bank connection and more advanced accounting. Business costs 33 euros a month and adds income tax filing, multiple users, stock management, foreign currencies and languages, legal assistance and priority support. Annual billing saves up to 20 percent, and paid plans have a 14-day trial. Card payment fees fall as you move up the plans, from 3.4 percent plus 0.60 euros on Start to 1.5 percent plus 0.25 euros on Business. Abby connects to the Urssaf API, including immediate tax credit advance for home-service providers, and it syncs with bank accounts. API documentation is published. The main limitation is that Abby only serves French businesses and has no English interface. Useful features are spread across four tiers, the FEC accounting export was still listed as coming soon, and reviewers complain about chatbot-first support with no phone line.
