Overview
SnelStart is a Dutch accounting package that has been on the market since 1982. It is built for Dutch entrepreneurs, from sole traders to trading companies, and for the accountants and bookkeepers who serve them. The plans are stacked, so each one adds to the one below. inOrde is only sold through an accountant and lets the business owner submit receipts. inStap adds unlimited invoicing. inKaart adds quotes, your own VAT and ICP returns, and a business bank account. inBalans adds workflow automation, subscription invoicing and debtor management. inZicht adds order management and cost centres. inControle and inHandel add inventory control and trade logistics. Prices start at 9.50 euro and go up to 54 euro per month excluding VAT. Extra users and extra administrations cost more, and the two top plans are priced on request. Every plan has a one-month free trial. Bank feeds connect automatically with ING, Rabobank, ABN AMRO, Triodos and Knab. The integration directory lists hundreds of connectors, including Shopify, WooCommerce, Bol.com, Mollie, Stripe, Adyen, Nmbrs and Power BI. Accountants have their own Accountant and Accountant Pro packages, and Accountant Pro adds payroll and annual accounts. The main limitation is that the product is built around the Dutch market. Reviewers say it lacks multi-currency support and time tracking, and that the older desktop version (SnelStart 12) looks dated and does not match the web version's features.
Our Rating
Who SnelStart is best for
Good fit
Most SnelStart customers are Dutch SMEs, and the plans scale from basic invoicing up to inventory and trade.
It has dedicated Accountant and Accountant Pro packages, and many Dutch bookkeepers work in it.
It connects to many webshops and marketplaces, and the higher plans add order and stock management.
Less suited
It suits Dutch freelancers, but filing your own VAT return requires the 22 euro inKaart plan.
