Overview
Rival IQ is a social media analytics tool built around benchmarking against competitors. You add the companies you want to follow, group them into landscapes, and compare engagement, posting frequency, hashtags, topics and timing across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube. It also includes social post analysis, boosted post detection, Facebook Ads reporting, alerts when a competitor's post performs unusually well, social listening with sentiment data, a custom chart builder, and scheduled reports you can export as CSV, PowerPoint, PDF or PNG. It suits agencies and in-house social media teams that report on competitive performance to clients or stakeholders. There are three published plans: Drive at $239 per month, Engage at $349 and Engage Pro at $559. Annual billing saves 15%. Plans differ by tracked companies (10, 20 or 40), data history (6 to 24 months), user seats (1, 2 or 5) and how often metrics refresh. Extra companies, company swaps and users are sold as add-ons. Integrations are limited. The higher plans include a Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) connector, and Engage Pro offers a paid Social Insights API. NetBase Quid acquired Rival IQ in December 2021. Its main limitation is that it only does analytics. It has no publishing or scheduling, so teams still need a separate tool to manage posts, and the starting price is high for freelancers and small businesses.
