Privy
6.6/10Privy is a pop-up, email and SMS marketing tool that helps small ecommerce stores grow subscriber lists and recover sales.
Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology
Overview
Privy began as a pop-up and signup form builder for online stores and grew into a combined pop-up, email and SMS platform. Merchants use it to capture visitors with exit-intent pop-ups, spin-to-win wheels, embedded forms, quizzes and landing pages. They then follow up with email and SMS campaigns, automations such as cart savers, and cross-sell displays. It is aimed at small and growing ecommerce brands on Shopify, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, WordPress and similar platforms. Since 2021 it has run as a standalone division of Attentive. Pricing is published in USD and is billed monthly, with no annual plan shown. The email plan is priced by mailable contacts: $30 a month covers up to 1,500 contacts, the price rises in steps to $1,740 for 250,000 contacts, and larger lists are quoted. Email sends are unlimited. SMS is an optional add-on sold as credit bundles. The plan includes 250 credits, paid bundles cost about 1.1 to 1.6 cents per credit, and unused credits roll over. Brands that only want pop-ups can buy a displays-only plan priced by page views, from $24 a month. Integrations include Shopify, BigCommerce, Wix, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Attentive, Postscript, Gorgias, Recharge, Smile.io, Yotpo, Judge.me, Zapier and Google Analytics. The main limitation is focus. Privy suits small stores rather than enterprise teams, offers no webinars and only basic CRM-style tools, and customer reviews repeatedly complain about billing that continues after the app is uninstalled. When we checked in November 2026, its Shopify App Store listing showed as not currently available.
