BuildBetter

6.6/10

BuildBetter is an AI customer-context platform that records and analyzes calls, tickets, and documents so product, sales, and success teams can act on customer feedback.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

BuildBetter records and transcribes customer and internal meetings, then pulls in support tickets, Slack threads, email, and documents. It maps each customer signal to the right account and links every answer back to its source. An agent called BoB tracks customer commitments from the sales call through delivery and drafts follow-up actions for a person to approve. Higher plans add reports, clusters, workflows, prototypes, health scores, and renewal tracking. The product mainly serves product teams, but it also targets sales, customer success, support, engineering, and research. Pricing is based on credits, and every plan includes unlimited seats. Each plan comes with a shared credit pool. Processing a recorded hour uses 520 credits and a ticket or text thread uses 32. Usage beyond the pool is billed at a per-credit overage rate. Annual pricing starts at $95.88 a year for Hobby and runs to $17,280 a year for Pro. Pro is sold on annual billing only, and Enterprise is priced by quote. API and MCP access starts at the Explorer tier, and SSO/SAML is only on Enterprise. The product syncs both ways with HubSpot and Salesforce and connects to Slack and support-ticket tools. It also offers a GraphQL API. The vendor says it is SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, and HIPAA compliant and does not train models on customer data. The main limitation is that BuildBetter is built around calls. Even a competitor's guide says it is not designed for large-scale mining of unstructured reviews. There is also very little independent review data, and the company is small.

Who BuildBetter is best for

Good fit

  • The Explorer and Pro tiers add workflows, API access, and account health features that suit growing cross-functional teams.

  • Unlimited seats, low entry tiers, and a discount for startups make it accessible to small product teams.

Less suited

  • Enterprise offers SSO, custom DPAs and BAAs, and admin controls, but the vendor is small and has little enterprise review evidence.

  • It offers CRM enrichment and commitment tracking, but it is less focused on sales coaching than Gong.

  • The Hobby plan is cheap, but most of the value is aimed at product and customer-success workflows.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Unlimited seats on every plan, so a whole company can access customer insights without per-seat fees
  • Combines calls, support tickets, Slack, and documents in one place and links each answer to its source
  • Two-way HubSpot and Salesforce sync plus a GraphQL API and MCP access from the Explorer tier
  • Vendor states SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance and says it does not train models on customer data
  • Published credit rates (520 per recorded hour, 32 per ticket) and usage alerts make costs easier to predict

Cons

  • Credits expire at the end of each period and work can pause when the balance runs out
  • Per-plan monthly-billing prices are not published, and Pro is sold on annual billing only
  • SSO/SAML and admin controls are only available on custom-priced Enterprise plans
  • Very few independent reviews; G2 lists only a single review
  • A competitor's guide describes it as call-first and not built for large-scale mining of unstructured reviews
