Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Aptean Industrial Manufacturing ERP is a group of ERP editions for discrete and mixed-mode manufacturers. The editions are Intuitive, WorkWise, Made2Manage and Traverse, which grew out of products Aptean acquired. Each edition combines production and materials management, advanced planning and scheduling, shop-floor execution, quoting, CRM and financial management in one system. Financial functions include accounting, product costing and a Margin Analyzer that tracks labor, overhead and variances. It is sold to job shops and to make-to-order, engineer-to-order and assemble-to-order manufacturers in industries such as industrial machinery, electronics and metal fabrication. The product can run in Aptean's cloud with an uptime SLA of 99% or more, or on-premise. Integrations named by third parties include QuickBooks, Tableau, Power BI and CAD tools through Aptean CADLink, and a 2021 release added integration with Aptean CRM. Pricing is not published. Aptean quotes each deal based on user count, modules, deployment model and implementation scope, and some resellers charge separately for implementation. The main limitation is that finance is not the product's strength: accounting serves the manufacturing workflow. Reviewers describe a dated interface, a steep learning curve, slow performance and cumbersome tasks such as bank reconciliation. G2 ratings by edition are modest, ranging from about 2.5 to 3.7 out of 5 on small review counts.
