Overview
Acumbamail is an email marketing service founded in 2013 in Ciudad Real, Spain. Growens (formerly MailUp Group) acquired it in 2018. It combines newsletter campaigns, automations, A/B testing, forms, landing pages and simple websites, surveys, an SMTP relay for transactional email, and bulk SMS in one account. Its main market is small and mid-sized businesses in Spain, Italy and Latin America, and the Spanish-language interface and support are more polished than the English versions. Pricing is based on volume. The Basic, Pro and Enterprise plans are each priced either by emails sent per month (20,000 up to 2 million and above) or by subscriber count (2,500 up to 50,000 and above). Annual billing is about 20% cheaper than monthly. A free plan allows 2,000 emails a month to 250 subscribers. Prepaid email and SMS credits are another option and stay valid for two years. Email plans have no minimum term, but monthly SMS plans require four months. Pro adds agency and white-label accounts, list cleaning, automatic resends to non-openers, Facebook audience sync and monthly consulting. Enterprise adds a dedicated IP and an account manager. Native integrations include Shopify, PrestaShop and Magento, and many other connections go through Zapier. The main drawbacks reported by reviewers are deliverability problems, including emails landing in spam, automations too basic for complex workflows, a thin integration list, and support that some users find unresponsive.
