Overview
SmartSuite is a no-code work management platform. Teams build custom solutions from tables, then view the same records as grids, Kanban boards, Gantt charts, timelines, calendars, maps, cards or dashboards. It was started by the founders of Archer Technologies, and that shows in its customer base. Alongside general project and marketing work, banks, universities and healthcare organizations use it for governance, risk and compliance tracking. Other built-in tools include a time tracking field, SmartDocs for policies and knowledge articles, record comments with mentions, native iOS and Android apps, and AI features such as field agents and an AI solution builder. Integrations come through a REST API, webhooks, an MCP server, Zapier and Make, plus native connections with Slack, Microsoft, Google, HubSpot, Salesforce and Jira. Pricing is per seat. Team costs $15 per user per month billed annually or $20 monthly, with a three-seat minimum. Professional costs $32 annually or $36 monthly, with a five-seat minimum. Enterprise is custom-priced with a 25-seat minimum, and the Signature plan is priced per solution. Read-only users, commenters and form submitters are not billed. Each plan caps records per solution, storage, and monthly automation runs plus API calls. The Team plan allows only 5,000 records per solution, and SAML SSO and SCIM are limited to Enterprise. The main limitation is that SmartSuite is a builder rather than a ready-made PM tool. Complex workflows take setup, and it has no team chat or whiteboard.
