Precursive

6.6/10

Salesforce-native project, resource and revenue management platform for professional services and customer onboarding teams at mid-market and enterprise companies.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Precursive is a professional services automation and project delivery platform built natively on Salesforce. Professional services, customer success and onboarding teams use it to turn closed-won opportunities and CPQ quotes into templated delivery projects. Those projects have phases, tasks, dependencies, milestones, Gantt charts and Kanban boards. Its resource management module matches people to work by skill, cost and availability. It also covers capacity planning, soft bookings, utilization, leave and timesheet approvals. The revenue management module covers time-and-materials and fixed-price budgets, rate cards, multi-currency, revenue forecasts and revenue recognition. Clients can follow their onboarding through a customer workspace built on Salesforce Experience Cloud. Precursive AI adds agents for selling and delivering services, plus an MCP connection to Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Pricing is by quote only: per-user licences billed annually, with a 30-user minimum and no monthly billing. One AppExchange-based listing reports a starting price of 40 USD per user per month. The integration list is long and includes Jira, Slack, Gmail, Outlook, HiBob, Workday, Gainsight, Zendesk, NetSuite, SAP, Xero, QuickBooks, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Zapier and MuleSoft. The accounting connectors need Breadwinner at extra cost. The main limitation is the Salesforce dependency: you must already pay for Salesforce licences, which together with the 30-seat minimum puts it out of reach for small teams. A few reviewers also describe the interface as complex.

Who Precursive is best for

Good fit

  • It is built around professional services delivery, with skills-based resourcing, timesheets, rate cards and revenue recognition.

  • It runs natively on Salesforce and is targeted at mid-market and enterprise firms. Customers include WPP, Omnicom and SES.

  • The 30-user minimum and Salesforce-centric design fit established mid-market services and customer success teams.

  • Agencies are a stated target sector, and WPP and Omnicom are named customers.

Less suited

  • The 30-seat minimum, annual-only billing and required Salesforce licence make it a poor fit for small teams.

  • Individual users cannot buy it because of the 30-seat minimum.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • It runs inside Salesforce, so projects are created directly from opportunities and CPQ quote lines without needing a separate data sync.
  • It covers project, resource and revenue management in one platform, including skills-based assignment and revenue recognition.
  • Clients get a customer workspace on Experience Cloud with a live, shared view of their onboarding progress.
  • Its integration list is long, covering HR systems (Workday, HiBob), ERPs (NetSuite, SAP), BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and iPaaS tools (MuleSoft, Workato).
  • G2 reviewers often praise its customer support and interface.

Cons

  • You need a Salesforce licence on top of Precursive's own licences.
  • The 30-user minimum and annual-only billing rule out small teams.
  • Prices are not published, so you have to request a quote.
  • The accounting connectors for QuickBooks, Xero and NetSuite need Breadwinner, which costs extra.
  • Some G2 reviewers mention a complex interface and problems with dashboards.
