Overview
Kustomer is a customer service platform built on a CRM data model. Instead of treating each request as a separate ticket, it shows every conversation, order and custom data object on one timeline per customer. On top of that it adds AI: Concierge is an AI agent that resolves customer requests across channels, Envoy assists human reps, Architect is used to build and tune AI experiences, and Data Explorer and AI QA cover analysis and quality review. Channels include chat, email, SMS, voice, Slack, forms, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok Shop, all managed with routing, SLAs, business rules and workflows. It suits high-volume ecommerce, DTC and consumer brands, and mid-market or enterprise teams moving off legacy helpdesks. Kustomer does not publish prices. Its pricing page offers a calculator based on agent count and conversation volume, then sends you to sales. Voice and WhatsApp are billed pay-as-you-go, and HIPAA and implementation are separate add-ons. Third-party trackers report per-engaged-conversation fees for AI agents and a per-user fee for the rep copilot, but we could not confirm these figures with Kustomer. For developers there are 10 REST APIs, inbound and outbound webhooks, chat SDKs for web and mobile, and an MCP server. Shopify and Magento integrations are commonly cited. The main drawbacks are the lack of public pricing, reports of pricing changes with short notice, and a steep setup and learning curve. Small teams are usually better served by simpler helpdesks.

Less suited

HIPAA compliance is available as a paid add-on.
Sales-led pricing and a complex setup are cited as barriers for small teams.
