Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology
Overview
Gong captures customer conversations across calls, video meetings and email, transcribes them, and uses AI to show sales and revenue teams what is happening in each deal. The core Foundation module covers recording, transcription, search, coaching, deal boards, analytics and CRM sync. Gong Engage adds outreach sequences, Gong Forecast adds forecasting, and Enable and Data Cloud are sold as further modules. Since April 2025 Gong has shipped a set of AI agents for jobs like risk flagging, activity detection and structured call briefs. The agents come with licenses at no extra cost and can be tailored in Agent Studio. Gong Assistant is a chatbot that answers questions about calls and deals. The Mission Andromeda release added AI call review, AI training and MCP connections to Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce Agentforce and HubSpot Breeze. Gong suits mid-market and enterprise B2B sales organizations that have enough call volume to justify the cost. Gong does not publish prices. Quotes combine a per-user license with a mandatory platform fee that scales with user count, and contracts are annual or multi-year. Third-party estimates put Foundation at roughly 1,400 to 1,600 USD per user per year. The platform fee is said to run from about 5,000 USD to 50,000 USD a year, and onboarding is often charged on top. Gong says integrating existing tools is free. Its main limitation is commercial: the fixed fees make it expensive for small teams, and reviewers describe multi-year lock-in with little flexibility to cut seats.

Who Gong is best for
Good fit
Gong is built around recording, coaching and analyzing sales conversations and deals.
It holds broad ISO and SOC 2 certifications, and its pricing tiers extend to 10,000+ users.
B2B SaaS revenue teams with high call volume are its core customer base.
It is a strong fit for teams over 50 reps, though the platform fee and implementation costs weigh on budgets.
Less suited
The fixed platform fee and annual contracts make the per-user cost high for small teams.
Reviewers call it too expensive for startup teams when cheaper tools exist.
