SenseHawk
5.8/10SenseHawk is a map-based platform for solar developers, EPCs and O&M teams. It covers construction tracking, drone thermal inspection and asset management for solar and storage sites.
Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology
Overview
SenseHawk sells a software suite for solar and storage projects. TaskMapper is its map-based workspace for scheduling, quality checks, punch lists and commissioning. Teams can overlay drone imagery, satellite photos and CAD layers on the site map, and compare planned against actual progress with S-curves. Primavera P6 and MS Project schedules can be imported. Therm handles drone infrared inspections. It uses AI to find and classify hotspots, diode failures, string faults and tracker faults, estimates the power loss of each one, and produces IEC 62446-3 reports. Each finding becomes a map-linked task that field crews close out in a mobile app that works offline. The suite also includes digital twin modules for maps, equipment and processes, drone construction monitoring for earthwork and progress, barcode scanning, and NaaviX AI, an assistant that answers questions about project data in plain language. The vendor says the platform manages more than 200 GW of solar and storage in over 20 countries. It suits utility-scale solar developers, EPC contractors and asset owners, and is far less relevant outside renewables. No prices are published, so buyers have to talk to sales. Ownership adds uncertainty. Reliance Industries bought a 79.4 percent stake in 2022, and in August 2024 Nextracker (now Nextpower) acquired SenseHawk technology IP to pair with its TrueCapture software. The main limitations are the solar-only focus, opaque pricing and very few independent user reviews.

Who SenseHawk is best for
Good fit
The product is built for solar, storage and renewable energy projects.
Progress tracking, schedule imports and punch lists are aimed at solar EPC construction.
Therm and the drone monitoring module process drone thermal and mapping imagery.
It offers SAML SSO and role-based access, and the vendor cites GW-scale portfolios.
O&M teams receive thermal defects as map-based work orders and can track warranty claims.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Therm turns drone infrared scans into classified defects with power-loss estimates and IEC 62446-3 reports.
- Planned versus actual progress tracking can use imported Primavera P6 and MS Project schedules.
- The mobile app works offline and lets field crews close geotagged inspections and punch items.
- Security includes AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, SAML SSO and fine-grained role-based access.
Cons
- No public pricing, so every quote requires a sales conversation.
- Built almost entirely for solar and storage, so it is a poor fit for other industrial assets.
- Very few independent reviews: G2 lists only about two reviews for SenseHawk.
- Ownership is unclear: Reliance took a majority stake in 2022, and Nextracker acquired SenseHawk IP in 2024.
