Overview

SoundHound AI is a Santa Clara company that builds voice AI and agentic AI for large businesses. Its OASYS (Orchestrated Agent System) platform runs AI agents across contact centers, IT service desks, HR desks, front desks, outbound calling, employee assist, and restaurant phone and drive-thru ordering. Houndify, its long-running voice interface platform, lets device makers and automakers embed voice assistants. Stellantis, for example, has put a SoundHound assistant in about 1.7 million vehicles. The company grew through acquisitions: SYNQ3 for restaurants, Amelia for enterprise conversational AI, Interactions for customer service, and in 2026 LivePerson for digital messaging. LivePerson is also listed separately on this site. SoundHound says agents can run in the cloud or embedded at the edge. Controls include layered guardrails, a dedicated model for detecting and masking personal data, tenant isolation, decision logging, and optional human handoff. It shows ISO and SOC 2 marks. The platform suits large companies in banking, airlines, automotive, healthcare and quick-service restaurants that handle high call volumes. SoundHound publishes no prices. Enterprise deals are custom quotes based on deployment scale, and third-party listings describe Houndify as usage-based. The main drawback is that it is a heavyweight enterprise offering: deployments are complex and usually need vendor services, and smaller teams have no self-serve plan to try.

  • Security controls include a dedicated model for masking personal data, tenant isolation and decision logging, with ISO and SOC 2 marks shown.
  • After buying Amelia, Interactions and LivePerson, it covers voice and digital messaging channels from one vendor.
