Overview
Rytr started in 2021 as a budget AI copywriting tool. It is now sold in two parts. Create is the writing side, with about 40 use cases, 22 tones and 38 languages, and it drafts or rewrites emails, posts and pages in the user's own voice. Engage is newer and works as a relationship manager. It connects to Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Granola meeting notes and text messages, and builds one profile per contact. It then sends daily briefs, preps you for meetings, tracks promises you made and drafts follow-ups, and nothing is sent until you approve it. A browser extension brings both parts into Gmail, Slack, LinkedIn and any text box. Pricing is cheap and has four tiers. The Free plan gives 10,000 characters a month and limited Engage use. Lite at $9 a month adds unlimited writing. Personal at $19 and Pro at $49 raise the limits on connected sources, tracked relationships, Engage actions and person research runs. Annual billing saves 20%. Rytr suits freelancers, solo consultants and small businesses that want a cheap writing helper and a light follow-up assistant. Independent reviewers have found it weak at long-form writing: it builds articles in sections, its output can repeat itself or state wrong facts, and support replies are slow. The vendor publishes no enterprise controls or compliance certifications. In 2024 the FTC issued an order against its review-generation use case, and the agency set that order aside in December 2025.

- Engage turns email, chat, calendar and meeting notes into one profile per contact, and nothing is sent until you approve it.
- It supports more than 30 languages and over 20 tones.
Cons

- Chat support is not live, and replies can take hours, according to a 2025 review.
- No SSO, audit logs or compliance certifications are published, so it is a poor fit for enterprises.
