Overview
Rocket.net is a managed WordPress host founded in 2020 by Ben Gabler, who previously worked at HostGator, GoDaddy, and StackPath. Every site sits behind Cloudflare Enterprise, which provides full-page edge caching, a web application firewall, malware protection, and image and font optimization. Reviewers rank its speed alongside Kinsta's. The control panel includes one-click staging, plugin management, WordPress activity logging, and an in-browser WP-CLI terminal. Migrations are free and unlimited, and backups run daily with 30-day retention. Pricing has three lines. Managed plans run from Starter at $30 a month for one site up to Expert at $200 a month for 25 sites. Agency plans add an agency toolkit and run from $100 a month for 10 installs to $1,600 a month for 200. Enterprise plans on dedicated resources start at $649 a month. Paying annually gives two months free. Visitors are unmetered on every plan, but storage and bandwidth are capped, with overages of $2 per GB of storage and $0.08 per GB of bandwidth. Since March 2025 the WP Rocket plugin is included free. In August 2025 Rocket.net became part of Hosting.com and continues as its own brand under general manager Jessica Frick. The main limitation is scope: it hosts only WordPress, with no email hosting, VPS, or general cloud compute. Its storage allowances are also average for the price.
