Overview

Remember The Milk is a long-running to-do list service. It launched in October 2005 and is run by a small team based in San Francisco. Tasks can have due and start dates, priorities, tags, locations and recurrence. Lists sync across the web, desktop, iOS, Android and Apple Watch apps. Reminders arrive by email, text, instant message or mobile notification. You can add tasks by email, Alexa or Siri. The free Basic plan covers syncing, the Gmail, Google Calendar and Evernote integrations, giving tasks to other people, and sharing lists with up to two others. It keeps only the last 7 days of completed tasks. Pro costs $49.99 per year and is billed annually only. It adds subtasks, advanced sorting and grouping, unlimited sharing with permissions, and Dropbox and Google Drive attachments. It also adds Outlook sync, an offline web app, IFTTT and Zapier, MilkScript automation, an MCP connection for AI assistants, an unlimited archive and priority support. It suits freelancers and small teams who want a reliable personal and shared task list rather than a full project management suite. There is no team or business plan. It also lacks Kanban boards, Gantt charts, time tracking and built-in chat. The public API is limited to non-commercial use unless you arrange otherwise. Some reviewers say the Android app and calendar integration are rough, and that parts of the interface are hard to find.
