Netlify
6.9/10Netlify is a web platform for building, deploying and hosting frontend sites and web apps from Git, with serverless functions, a global CDN and preview deploys.
Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology
Overview
Netlify connects to a Git repository, builds the site on every push, and serves the output from its global CDN. Each pull request gets its own deploy preview URL, and you can roll back to an earlier deploy instantly. On top of static hosting, it offers serverless and edge functions, Blob storage, a built-in Netlify Database (serverless Postgres), access to AI models, form handling, and the Agent Runners AI tooling. Security covers automatic SSL, Layer 3, 4 and 7 DDoS mitigation, rate limiting, and a WAF. Netlify says it is audited against SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and 27018, PCI DSS v4.0 and HIPAA. It suits developers, agencies, startups and marketing teams that run Jamstack or modern framework sites. Teams that need full backend servers or VMs will find it less suitable. Since September 2025, pricing has been credit-based. The Free plan includes 300 monthly credits, Personal costs $9 a month for 1,000 credits, Pro costs $20 a month for 3,000 credits with unlimited members, and Enterprise is custom with a 99.99% SLA and SSO/SCIM. Production deploys, compute, bandwidth and web requests all draw credits, and you can buy extra credit packs. The main drawback is cost predictability. On the Free plan, sites are paused when credits run out, and heavy bandwidth use drains credits quickly. Reviewers also note it trails Vercel for Next.js-centric teams.

Cons
