Overview
NAVER Cloud Platform is the public cloud run by NAVER Cloud, a subsidiary of the Korean search company NAVER. It launched in April 2017 with 22 products. The catalog now spans 19 categories, including virtual servers, SSD and GPU servers, bare metal servers, auto scaling, Cloud Functions for serverless code, Ncloud Kubernetes Service with a container registry, and managed Cloud DB services for MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB and cache, plus a serverless DB option. It also offers Object Storage and Archive Storage, Global CDN and Global Edge, and security services such as key management, certificate manager and security monitoring. Its clearest fit is organisations in South Korea, especially public agencies and financial firms. NAVER Cloud holds the KISA CSAP certification and ISMS-P, and runs separate government and financial cloud editions. Pricing is hourly pay-as-you-go with no setup fee. Resources are billed from the moment they are created, even if they are idle, and invoices follow a monthly cycle on Korea Standard Time. New customers get credits to try more than 30 services, and the vendor publishes a pricing calculator instead of fixed plans. For automation, HashiCorp lists an official Terraform provider. The main limitation for non-Korean buyers is the ecosystem. Most documentation, community content and pricing detail is in Korean, and independent English-language reviews are almost nonexistent. Its regional footprint is also much smaller than those of AWS or Azure. Coverage is centred on Korea and Asia, and the most recent detailed reporting found dates from 2021.

Pros & Cons
Pros
- Holds Korean CSAP and ISMS-P certifications, as well as ISO 27001 and other ISO certifications, which makes it a strong option for Korean public-sector and regulated workloads.
- Covers a broad service catalog, from bare metal and GPU servers to Kubernetes, serverless functions and several managed database engines.
- Runs separate government and financial cloud editions with sector-specific compliance support.
- HashiCorp lists an official Terraform provider, so infrastructure can be managed as code.
Cons
- Most documentation, pricing detail and community help is in Korean, which is a hurdle for global teams.
- Independent user reviews are almost nonexistent on major review sites, which makes vendor claims hard to check.
- Resources are billed from the moment they are created, even if idle, and charges for resources that were not returned are non-refundable.
- A user FAQ reports Access Denied errors when uploading to Object Storage with recent AWS CLI or SDK versions, so S3 compatibility can need workarounds.
- Its global region footprint is smaller than those of AWS, Azure or Alibaba Cloud.
