Overview
Monograph is practice management software built only for architecture and engineering firms. It brings phase-based project planning, fee budgeting, staffing, timesheets, invoicing, payments and project accounting into one platform. Its MoneyGantt view shows how changes to a project timeline affect fees. Firm-level reports cover profit, capacity and utilization. The company was founded in 2019 by three architects, two of them MIT graduates. MIT News reported that most of its customers are firms with fewer than 50 staff, and Monograph now says it serves more than 2,000 firms. Recent releases add AI features. Ask Monograph answers questions about project status and profitability. Other AI tools build project setup from a signed contract, suggest time entries from calendar activity, turn emails into project records, follow up on overdue invoices, and recommend staffing. Pipeline management and a proposal builder cover the work-winning side, but Pipeline is sold separately. Pricing is only available through a demo. The pricing page gives a range of $45 to $490 per month without a plan breakdown. A third-party review lists a Grow plan from $45 per user per month, a smaller Track plan, and a one-time implementation fee. The main published integration is a two-way QuickBooks Online sync for US firms. It covers invoices, bills, expenses, clients and consultants, but not timesheets or payroll. The main limitation is narrow scope. Reviewers say custom reporting is limited and the tool can feel rigid for firms with non-standard project structures. Firms outside A&E, or teams that want general task boards and docs, will find it a poor fit.
