LiDAR360

5.8/10

Windows desktop software from GreenValley International for processing LiDAR point clouds in surveying, forestry, mining and power line inspection work.

Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

LiDAR360 is GreenValley International's desktop platform for viewing, editing and analysing LiDAR and photogrammetry point clouds. It handles data from airborne, UAV, mobile and handheld scanners. The base Framework covers data management, strip alignment, registration, classification, measurement, format conversion and quality checks. The vendor says it can process TB-scale datasets on a workstation, with a distributed computing option for very large jobs. Separately licensed modules add terrain products such as DEM, DSM and contours, ALS and TLS forestry tools for tree segmentation and per-tree metrics, and mining, building and power line analysis. Resellers describe AI and machine-learning classification, user-trainable models and Segment Anything-based feature extraction. The software pairs most closely with GreenValley's own LiAir, LiGrip and LiMobile scanners, and it also supports DJI L2 data. It suits survey firms, drone service providers, forestry agencies and utilities that need to work through large LiDAR projects themselves. GreenValley does not publish prices. Licences are sold through quotes and resellers as a Framework licence plus paid modules, and reseller prices vary widely. In 2018 GreenValley offered a 30-day free trial and allowed one seat to be used on several machines. The main limitation is the lack of public information. Pricing is not transparent, it is desktop-only rather than a cloud or collaborative asset platform, and there are almost no independent user reviews to check vendor claims against.

Who LiDAR360 is best for

Good fit

  • Processes UAV LiDAR from GreenValley and DJI L2 sensors into classified clouds and terrain products.

  • Includes surveying, terrain, building and mining toolsets for engineering survey deliverables.

Less suited

  • Forestry inventory and terrain mapping tools suit forestry and land agencies.

  • Offers power line analysis, though the dedicated LiPowerline product may suit grid work better.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Covers the whole point cloud workflow in one tool, from strip alignment and registration through classification, terrain models and forestry metrics.
  • Strong forestry tools, including individual tree segmentation and per-tree height, crown and diameter measurements.
  • Handles very large datasets on a single workstation, with a distributed processing option for bigger jobs.
  • Supports AI classification with user-trainable models, according to reseller listings.

Cons

  • GreenValley publishes no prices, and reseller prices vary widely.
  • Desktop-only Windows software with no cloud collaboration.
  • Very few independent user reviews are available on review sites.
  • Each specialised workflow needs a separately purchased module.

Frequently Asked Questions

GreenValley offered a free 30-day trial download when it launched version 3.0 in 2018. Check with the vendor whether that trial is still offered.

It is sold as a base Framework licence plus optional modules such as Terrain and Forestry, through quotes from GreenValley or its resellers.

It processes airborne, UAV, mobile and handheld LiDAR. It is designed around GreenValley's LiAir, LiGrip and LiMobile systems and also supports DJI L2 data.

Yes. Power line analysis is part of the suite, and GreenValley also sells a separate LiPowerline product.

No. It is a desktop application. GreenValley said in 2018 that it was compatible with Windows Server.
