Data last updated November 2026 · Our methodology

Overview

Eagleview is an aerial imagery and property intelligence company. It says it holds more than 3.5 billion high-resolution aerial images, captured at up to 1-inch ground sample distance. From that library it sells measurement reports, AI-extracted property attributes and imagery access. Customers reach this through the Eagleview One, Eagleview Cloud and ConnectExplorer software, through APIs and SDKs, or inside partner tools. For utilities and energy companies, Eagleview offers multi-angle imagery for asset management and power line mapping. It also offers TreeRisk for vegetation risk and Aerial Patrol, which pairs imagery with methane detection. Governments use it for tax assessment, zoning and infrastructure planning, with products such as Sketch Inspect and Certified Orthomosaic. Roofing contractors and insurers buy per-property reports, such as Bid Perfect and Premium Roof Reports. Pricing works two ways. Measurement reports are bought one at a time, and a review site lists them as starting at about $18 for Bid Perfect and $24.25 for a Premium Roof Report, rising with roof size. Eagleview One and enterprise imagery subscriptions are quote-only. Integrations include Esri (Gold partner, ArcGIS Pro), Xactimate, Trimble, JobNimbus, AccuLynx, ServiceTitan and supply distributors. The main limitation is that Eagleview captures imagery from manned aircraft on a schedule rather than monitoring assets continuously. Its data also has gaps: trees can block roofs, and new construction may not have been flown yet. Pricing is opaque, and reviewers often say it is poor value.

Who Eagleview is best for

Good fit

  • Eagleview sells dedicated products for tax assessment, zoning enforcement and certified orthomosaics.

  • Roofing and siding contractors use its per-property measurement reports for bids and takeoffs.

  • Eagleview says it scales from single properties to whole portfolios through APIs and subscriptions.

  • Eagleview markets asset management, power line mapping, vegetation risk tools and methane-detection patrols to utilities.

Less suited

  • Solar site assessment and grid reliability use cases are supported.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Holds a very large aerial image archive, more than 3.5 billion images, with up to 1-inch resolution and around 25 years of history for pre-event comparisons.
  • Measurement accuracy is supported by an independent LiDAR benchmark, and insurers widely accept its reports.
  • Esri Gold partnership and ArcGIS Pro integration make it straightforward for government and utility GIS teams to adopt.
  • Connects natively to Xactimate, JobNimbus, AccuLynx and ServiceTitan for roofing and claims workflows.

Cons

  • Subscription pricing is not published, and reviewers frequently call reports expensive for the value they deliver.
  • Trees can block roofs in the imagery, and recently built properties may not have been flown yet.
  • Reviewers report support hold times of 30 to 60 minutes or more and delays on standard-turnaround reports.
  • Not a maintenance or work-order system, so utilities still need separate asset management software.
