Overview
Drone Harmony is a Swiss platform for planning and automating drone data capture around complex infrastructure. Its core is a full-3D flight planning engine. Users plan missions in a web portal, sync them through the cloud, and fly them from Android or iOS apps on DJI drones and the Parrot Anafi Ai. The engine works out flight paths and camera angles for telecom towers, electric grids, railways, roads, pipelines and bridges, and it also handles terrain-aware surveys. The current product has three modules. Asset Inspector covers scope, capture, findings and reporting. Remote Drone Operations runs recurring missions from drone docks. The 3D Flight Planner handles the mission planning itself. Enterprise customers also get Power Scanner for transmission lines and poles, cell tower inspection workflows, point-cloud-based planning and team management. Drone service providers and tower or utility inspection teams that need repeatable, consistent captures will get the most from it. There are two published tiers. Starter is 49 USD per month, or 33 USD per month billed annually, with 50 GB of image storage and consumer and light enterprise DJI drones. Professional is 149 USD per month, or 99 USD per month billed annually, with 500 GB of storage, Matrice-class drones and country-wide terrain datasets for six European countries and Australia. Enterprise pricing is custom. The company says it holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification. The main limitation is that the key inspection modules, Asset Inspector and Power Scanner, are Enterprise-only, and there are very few independent user reviews. App-store ratings sit around 3.6 to 4.2. The software focuses on data capture, so photogrammetry and deep analytics generally require separate tools.
Our Rating
Who Drone Harmony is best for
Good fit
The platform was launched for drone service providers and automates repeatable inspection captures for them.
Power Scanner covers transmission lines and poles, and grid inspection is a core use case.
It supports inspection of electric grids and pipelines.
The Enterprise tier adds team management, dock operations, custom integrations and ISO 27001 certification.
Less suited
The Starter plan is cheap enough for small operators, though its storage and drone support are limited.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- The full-3D flight planner calculates paths and camera angles around towers and other vertical structures, which suits complex inspection jobs.
- Published pricing starts at 33 USD per month on annual billing, which is low for professional inspection planning software.
- Professional includes country-wide terrain datasets for six countries, which helps terrain-following surveys.
- The vendor states ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification, which supports enterprise and critical-infrastructure buyers.
- Supports dock-based remote operations for recurring monitoring.
Cons
- Asset Inspector, Power Scanner, cell tower workflows and team management are all Enterprise-only, with no public price.
- There are very few independent reviews, and Android app ratings are mixed, at roughly 3.6 to 4.2 depending on the source.
- Hardware support centres on DJI and Parrot. Early iOS versions could not fly drones that rely on virtual stick mode.
- The product focuses on data capture and does not offer the photogrammetry processing or analytics that some rivals bundle.
